He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Olen and Euna Belle Vanderpool Stansell; and his siblings, Olen Stansell, Brenda Nivens and Linda Jones.

He is survived by : his brother Eddie Stansell of Elkins; his nephew Matthew Stansell of Prairie Grove; his niece Debbie Smith (Ricky) of Elkins; his significant other Joyce Brown of Huntsville; and his significant other's children, Mary Gorman of Huntsville, Darrell, Mayuri Gorman of Las Vegas, Nevada, Donald Gorman of Huntsville, Cedona and Glen Conn of Douglasville, Georgia.
