He was predeceased by : his parents, John W. and Thelma Dean Amos Sr. (Woodruff); and his sisters, Deanna Amos, Shirley Underwood and Dixie Frazier.

He is survived by : his children, John B. Amos of Keiser and Cindy Matlock of Millington, TN.. He is also survived by Two Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.
