She was predeceased by : her parents, V. Carl Tolleson and Lottie Johnson Tolleson; her husband Dr. Hiram Ward; her brother JC; her sister-in-law Claudette Tolleson; her sister Mary; her brother-in-law Harloe White; her niece Kimberly Chambers; and her brother-in-law Loy Fay Buck.

She is survived by : her children, Cherry (Larry Mantooth) of Kirby, Melanie (Tim Trout) of Kirby, Eddie Pipkins of Kirby and Marty Pipkins of Kirby; her grandchildren, Dustin Mantooth, Monica Wright, Jesse Pipkins, Andrew Pipkins, Warner Pipkins, Marly Holmes, Nicole Stevens, Morgan Ewing and Travis Ward; her grandchildren-in-law, Richard and Judy Ward of California; her grandchildren, Hank Chaney of Murfreesboro and Ruth Ward of Little Rock; and her sisters, Kate Buck, Patsy Foshee and Brenda Mason. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; her stepchildren.
