He was predeceased by: his father John Thomas; and his children, Heath Watson and Kayla Watson. He is survived by: his mother Vaughn Dell Watson (Harmon); his wife Teresa Watson (Thompson); his children, Jeremy Cowell, Rock, Adam (Deana Cowell) of Clarksville, Misty (Wesley Whorton) of Clarksville and Ashley Watson of Lamar; and his siblings, Todd (Lori Watson) of Hagarville and Tessie (Johnny Dalton) of Hagarville. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
