She was predeceased by : her parents, Benjamin Clarence and Georgia Ellen Richardson Ray; and her sister Nelda Green. She is survived by : her husband Gene Smith of Pine Ridge; her children, Michael Smith of Austin, Robert Smith of Valley Springs, Texas, Julie Ringstaff of East Tawakoni and Kandy Daughtery of Bullard, Texas; and her brothers, Bill Ray and Sam Ray of Burnett, Texas.
