We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2025, at the age of 100, Alifair Iris Lewis of Mountainburg, Arkansas passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Denning and Rissie Denning (Fannin); her husband Melvin Lewis; her children, Bonnie J. Bruhns, Suzanne Lewis, Blake M. Lewis and Thomas G. Lewis; and her siblings, Lauree Keller, Joyce Garn, Nadine Taylor, Lamar Denning, Bill Denning and Dale Denning.
She is survived by: her daughter Becky Tufts (Jimmy) of Rogers; and her sister Jean Keller of Utah. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home (4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR 72956). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints (201 Canterbury Dr, Alma, AR 72921). A burial was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery (522 Garland Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901).
