She was predeceased by : her parents, William Amos and Rose Etta Barber (Marshall); her husband Hebert Franklin Bridgman; her granddaughter Regina Gay Brooks; and her siblings, Marshall Reed Barber, Eloise Alfred, Emma Jean Freeman, Blanche Rainwater, Eula Ingram, Willie Mae Dyles and Mary Etta Davis.
She is survived by : her daughters, Janice Brooks of Newark and Julia Newman (Ronnie) of Fort Worth, Texas; her siblings, Amos Roe Barber of Phoenix, Benny Dale Barber (Judy) of Newport and Nina Wester (Austin) of Phoenix, Arizona; and her grandchildren, Carla Layne of Oxford, Frankie Combs of Newport, Scottie Brooks of Newark, Keith Smotherman of Fort Worth and Deronda Cardentey of Fort Worth. She is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
