It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Magar Burgen of Norman, Arkansas, born in Ashdown, Arkansas, who passed away on September 21, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Wesley Henry Magar and Georgia Lee Greenwalt Magar; and her brothers, Thomas Magar and Henry Magar. She is survived by : her husband Derrell Burgen of Norman; her children, Esney Burgen (Marilyn Carothers) of Russellville, Bobby Burgen (Michelle Pickett) and Naomi (Leslie Portugal); her grandchildren, Daniel Burgen of Norman, Jonathan Burgen of Norman, Jeffery Burgen of Norman, Katelyn, Scott Freeman of Glenwood, Lessica (Joey Duncan), Leston Portugal, Charley Burgen, Alesha Carlson (Shaunda) and Alex Hernandez; her great grandchild Gabriel Hernandez; and her siblings, Windel (Jeanette Magar), Espye (Glenda Magar), Ida (Eugene Pate), Ann (Everett Phillips) and Faye (Gary Phillips). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
