She was predeceased by : her parents, John Millender and Maylene Millender (Payer); and her husband Jimmy C. Dempsey. She is survived by : her sister Brenda Meachum (Doug); her nephews, Michael Meachum (Brandy) and Chris Meachum (Rachael); her niece Melanie Hradesky (Andrew); and her cousin Pat David (Vicki) of Texas.

“Love & prayers to the family of JoAnne Dempsey. She was funny & spoke her mind. I will miss her cute laugh. It was contagious. In my few years at Trinity, she brought kind friendship. It showed in her love for church family. Joanne was dedicated to being present at Sunday services to hear Gods word, attending many potlucks, & LWML meetings.
