She was predeceased by: her parents, John Millender and Maylene Millender (Payer); and her husband Jimmy C. Dempsey. She is survived by: her sister Brenda Meachum (Doug); her sibling's children, Michael Meachum (Brandy), Chris Meachum (Rachael) and Melanie Hradesky (Andrew); and her cousin Pat David (Vicki) of Texas.
