He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Hoover and Sadie Nicholas Hoover; his wives, Lillian Hastings Hoover and Willa Dean Taylor Hoover; his stepson Harold Love; his siblings, Richard, Lawrence, Charles, Clyde Hoover, Frances Elkins and Mary Alice Hoover; his son-in-law John Taylor; and his stepson-in-law Richard Knox.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Taylor of Maumelle and Joe Hoover (Elizabeth) of Maumelle; his stepchildren, Brenda Knox of Pine Bluff and Jerry Love (Susan) of Pine Bluff; his brother Jimmie Hoover (Kitty) of Robertsdale; his grandchildren, Jonathan Hoover (Shannon) of White Hall, Russell Hoover (Pamela) of Pine Bluff and Matthew Hoover of Maumelle; and his stepgrandchildren, Julia White (Robert) of Pine Bluff, Laura Love of Sheridan, Stephen Burns (Samantha) of White Hall, Daniel Burns of White Hall, Jeff Furman of Pine Bluff and Meghan Love-Matheson of Sheridan. He is also survived by four greatgrandchildren, eight step-greatgrandchildren, and two step-great greatgrandchildren.
