He was predeceased by : his parents, Hurvel Oren and Lucille Athey (McMillian); his brother Leonard Athey; and his nephew L. J. Athey. He is survived by : his wife Jeanne Athey (Neumeier) of Paris; his sons, David Athey (Tamra) of Paris, Alan Athey (Patti) of Springdale, Matt Whitbey (Brandi) of Paris and Chris Whitbey (Britney) of Paris; his grandchildren, Devin, Emily, Natalie, Allison Athey and Bethany; and his sons, Madison, Randy and Rylee Whitbey.
