He is survived by: his wife Nancy Tharp; his children, Alvin Carl Tharp, III of Pine Bluff, Lisa Lundrigan of Nova Scotia and Samantha Jo Tharp of Pine Bluff; his sister Donna Woodfield of Mt. Ida; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Autumn, Lillian, Holden Tharp, Hannah, Rickey Robinson, McKenzie Anderson, Marissa and Hayden Lundrigan.
