He was predeceased by: his parents, Chris Lafell Lewis and Helen Vay Stone; his sister Christine Lewis Mutzberg; and his niece Cheryl Childress. He is survived by: his wife Linda Lewis; his son Chris Lewis (Beth) of Driftwood, Texas; his grandchildren, Lauren and Noah Lewis; his mother-in-law Herma McGarity of White Hall; his sister-in-law Debra Pruitt of Sheridan; his nieces, Carmen Pruitt, Teresa Mutzberg-Haustein (Matt) of Pine Bluff and Stacy Hutcheson-Morse of Rison; his cousin Sonny Lewis of Mountain View; and his close friend Ethel Hildersheim of White Hall.
