He was predeceased by: his parents, George Shields, Sr. and Essie Shields (Brewer). He is survived by: his wife Roxie Shields (Massey) of Rison; his children, Kevin Shields of Camden, AR and Kim Bradshaw of Ypsilanti, Michigan; and his siblings, Joshua Shields of Pine Bluff, AR, Bobbie Jefferson of Hollis, Bessie Alston of Deptford and Arzella Thrower of Little Rock, AR. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
