He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Henry "Shorty" Walker and Gladie Hall Walker; his wife Annette Cloud Walker; and his siblings, John Walker and Lorraine Rothwell.
He is survived by: his son J. Vernon Walker (Lisa); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Walker-Tilley (Matt) and Jackson Walker (Stephanie); his great grandchild Sean Walker; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Clara Matheny.
