He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Anderson and Rachael Dixie Reed Anderson; his grandson Phillip John Mooney; his stepmother Gennie Belle Anderson; his son-in-law Michael Johnston; and his siblings, Jewel Anderson, John Anderson, Eva Walker, Willie Mae Stenfors and Josephine Raymond.
He is survived by: his wife Rachel Mary Bates Anderson; his daughters, Cheryl Mooney (John) of Prattsville and Carol Ann Johnston of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Traci Abell (Marley), Andrea Sullivan (Jeremy), Erin Coleman (Seth) and Ryan Johnston (Stephanie). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
