He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Otis Caldwell and Inez Duncan Caldwell Taylor; and his siblings, Dianne Smith, Joyce Elmore and Everett Caldwell.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Allred Caldwell; and his brother Dewey Caldwell. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
