He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Bost and Mary Viola Davison Bost; his sister Frances Bost Whitehead; the mother of his children June Gibbs Bost; and his former wife Mary Lou Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Sue Bost; his children, James Bost (Grace) of Wright, Arkansas and Juli Bost Listuon (Walt) of Mobile, Alabama; his granddaughters, Grace Elizabeth Workman (Richie) of Memphis, Rebecca Catherine Carwell (Ryan) of Jonesboro, Joanna Rowell Dorsett (Dave) of Perdido Key, Emily Rowell Bullock (Herb) of Mobile, Mary Ellen Bost Doncer (Phillip) and Sarah Ann Bost of Little Rock, Arkansas; his stepchildren, Brent Hall of Little Rock, Wesley Hall of Hot Springs, Lee Pearce of Pine Bluff, Gary Pearce of Pine Bluff, Mark Pearce of Pine Bluff and Nancy Pearce Tice of Pine Bluff; and his sister Bessie Eskew of Sikeston. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
