He is survived by: his former wives, Earnestine Borkins and Pamela Lynette Wright; his wife Novella Myles; his mother-in-law Cora Myles Walker; his aunt Victoria Myles Morgan; his children, Monica Allen of Fort Smith, Terrence Myles of Little Rock, Cynetria Myles of Pine Bluff, Janet Wright Cotton (Lamar) of Bentonville, Victoria Wright of Ladd, Johnnie Jr. Joseph Wright (Monique) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Christopher Fonville and Kaya Pitts; his siblings, James Tyson of Jacksonville, Robert Bankston of Star City, Walter Wright of Oakland, Beatrice Wright Range and Dorothy J. Smith of Oakland, California; and his uncle Floyd Shaw. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grand-children.
