She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Cecil McBryde and Elva Lea Beard McBryde; her husbands, Thomas M. Hoover and Ira Van; her daughter Brenda Smithwick; and her sister Mary McBryde Schleisner.
She is survived by: her daughter Carol Hoover Hagan (Dick) of Pine Bluff; her grandsons, Mike Phillips (Dallas) of Pine Bluff and Chris Parr (Lori) of Conroe, TX; her great grandchildren, Hunter Phillips (Chelsey) of Pine Bluff, Blake Phillips of Mt. Ida, Garrett Parr of Conroe, Dusty Ashcraft, Garrett Ashcraft and Caroline Parr of Conroe; and her great great grandchild Hoyt Phillips.
Memorial contributions may be made to Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff.
