She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Strong and Nancy Pridgett (Larry); and her husband Jerry Brown, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Steven Brown of Pine Bluff, AR, Sharon Said-Soahili of Nangis, France and Pamela Mercer of Little Rock, AR; and her sisters, Arlena Johnson of Pine Bluff, AR and Bonnie Rhodes of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
