It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Hunter (Pine Bluff, Arkansas), who passed away on July 28, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Brown and Hattie Brown; and her siblings, Margaret Lawson, Mildred Hall, Velma Jackson, Dorothy McDonald, Wilbert Brown, Jr., Louis Brown, Fred Brown and Mardell Jones.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Hunter; her sisters, Ruby Williams of Rio Vista, CA, Alean Ward of Union City, GA and Effie Thornton of Oakland, CA; and her children, Malvin Jones (Corina) of Pine Bluff, AR, Kenneth Brown (Donna) of Pine Bluff, AR, Roy Hunter of Pine Bluff, AR, Stephen Brown of Frederick, MD, Richard Byers of Abilene, TX, Cheryl Handley (Cassandra Brown), Harriett Johnson Dixon of Salisbury, NC, Carol Santiago Falcon (Patrice Fisher), Adrian Garmon (Willie) of Wrightsville, AR and Renee Byers (Louisa Brown) of Savannah, GA. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing will be observed, and masks must be worn.
