He was predeceased by : his parents, Jim Burkhart and Nellie Burkhart; and his brothers, Bobby, Johnny and Roy Burkhart.

He is survived by : his wife Yvonne; his daughters, Stacie Wood (James) of Alma and Valerie Key (Jason) of Searcy; his siblings, Ruby Pierce of Alma, Coreena Cockrum of Van Buren, Jimmy, Ted Burkhart of Alma, Larry of Rudy, Billy Don of Rudy and David Burkhart of Rudy; and his grandchildren, Zayne, Gus Wood and Hattie Elizabeth Key.
