She was predeceased by: her parents, James Stennis Edwards and Edna Willetta Sample; her spouse Larkin "Warner" Oakes; her great grandchild Lyndon Flax; and her siblings, Willetta Melton, Eileen Haisten, Nathan Edwards, Melvin Edwards, Norman Edwards, Marion "Pete" Edwards and Robert "Bob" Edwards.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda (John Wink) and Gail (Dale Fuller); her grandchildren, Kerri Staviski (Trey) of Indian Trail, Kevin Fuller (Shannon) of Newton, Brett Wink (Tina) of Houston, Evan Wink (Tressa) of New Caney, Texas and Lynn Flax (Corey) of Rogers; her great grandchildren, Tyler Wink of Houston, Garrett Fuller of Houston, Addison Fuller of Newton, Meredith Staviski of Indian Trail, Kaitlyn Wink of New Caney, Haylee Wink of New Caney, Samuel Flax of Rogers and Margaret Flax of Rogers; her brother Clyde Edwards of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee; and her sister-in-law Ann Edwards of Selma, Alabama. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shinn Funeral Service (800 W Main St, Russellville, AR 72801). A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the New Live Oak Cemetery (110 W Dallas Ave, Selma, AL 36701).
