She was predeceased by : her parents, Charley Benton and Melva Benton (Stracener); her husband Carl "Buddy" LaForce; and her siblings, Carvela Benton and Velda Ree Cook.

She is survived by : her son Dwayne LaForce (Belinda); her grandchildren, Matthew LaForce (Fran) and Lauren LaForce Brown; her great grandchildren, Cannon LaForce, Colt LaForce, Holden Brown and Parker Brown; and her brother Randall Benton (Robbie) of Searcy.
