He is survived by : his wife Clara Ann Merritt; his children, Angelia of West Monroe, LA, Carrie Merritt of West Monroe, LA and Ronnie Dyer of Stamps, AR; his stepchildren, Aimee Wooten (Jeremy) of Ft. Smith, AR, Earl Cox of Huntsville, AL and Larry Cox (Mary Bobo) of Hope, AR; his siblings, Donald Merritt of Decatur, AL, Jeff Merritt of Monticello, AR, David Merritt (Evelyn) of Star City, AR and Brenda Dianne Johnson (Billy Wayne) of Monticello, AR; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Copeland, Chad Copeland, Tristyn Gilbert, Kirstyn Gilbert, Marley Kay Bobo, Braylen Cox and Kayden Cox; and his great grandchild Aurbie Grace McManus.
