He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henley and Mary Louise McGehee Henley; his grandparents, Fannie, Josh Henley, Velma and Harvey M. McGehee; his siblings, Johnny Henley, JB Henley, Morris Henley, Craig Henley and Sandra Luker; his daughter Jayme Stringfellow; his granddaughter Jayden Davis; and his close friend Jo Ann Gavin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Bates of Star City and Jessica Villa (Joel) of Little Rock; his sisters, Kristy Peyton, Jenny Wynn (Clay) of Star City and Bonnie George of Pine Bluff; his son-in-law James Stringfellow; his grandchildren, Dalton Bates, Zack Bates, Silas Bates, Brayden Bates, Destiny Davis, Olivia Borre and Naomi Villa; and his great grandchildren, Lucia Borre and Blakeleigh Bates.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Griffin Funeral Service (811 N Lincoln Ave, Star City, AR 71667). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Griffin Funeral Chapel (811 N Lincoln Ave, Star City, AR 71667).
