She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Cheek and Jessie Cheek; her brother Johnny Park Cheek; her husband Jim Howell; and her son Chris Howell (Sammy Scales).
She is survived by: her son Jim Howell, Jr. (Amy); her grandson Chris Howell of Jonesboro, AR.; her siblings, Bill Cheek of Reydell, AR. and Jimmie Boyles of Lonoke, AR.; and her cousin Lori Higgins of Dallas, TX..
