He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Marion and Mildred Rutherford; his siblings, Roger Dale, James Rutherford and Lillian Eicher; and his son Ronnie Rutherford.

He is survived by: his son-in-law Louis Williams; his grandsons, Lee Williams and Marion Rutherford; his wife Wanda; his daughters, Cindy Rutherford of Pine Bluff and Nancy Rutherford Williams (Louis) of Stuttgart; his sister Becky Meier (Carl) of Ulm; his grandchildren, Brandy Rutherford Crump (Brandon) of Jonesboro and Paul Williams (Leighsa) of Cabot; his great grandchildren, Bailer, Bridger, Bryker Crump of Jonesboro, Ethan and Lindsey Williams of Cabot; and his daughter-in-law Patsy Rutherford of Jonesboro.
