He was predeceased by: his wife Vivian Borchert; his daughter Kathy Borchert; and his siblings, Carl Borchert, Martin Borchert, Howard Borchert, Donald Borchert, Esther Borchert, Dorothy Borchert and Viola Peacock.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Borchert of Clarendon and Susan Borchert of Stuttgart. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
