He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Brinkley and Evelyn Thorlton Brinkley; his grandparents, George, Viola Armstrong Thorlton, Irving and Minnie Brinkley; his stepfather Harold Wessels; his sister Helen Fern Smith; his sibling's children, Mike Wilson, Jeff Eagle, Nancy Carol Willis and Peggy Hahn Young; and his brothers-in-law, Morris H. "Jiggs" Willis, Danny Ray Willis and Gilbert Hahn.
He is survived by: his wife Arky Willis Brinkley; his daughter Rae Lyn; his son-in-law Jonathan Sperry of Conway; his granddaughter Sara Elizabeth Sperry of Conway; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hahn of Slovak, Millie Case (Marvin), Jean McCollum (Billy Roy) of Bryant, Bonnie Eagle of Memphis and Clara Willis Brown of Stuttgart. He is also survived by two nephews; and eight nieces.
