He was predeceased by : his parents, James Monroe and Fannie Stone Dame; and his siblings, Bob, Billy Joe, Charles, Anna Austin, Viola Manus, Lucille Sawyer, Lucy Foster, Leona Debow Chrisman and Juanita Wallace.

He is survived by : his wife Ruby Jean Jones; his children, Peggy (Sam Weir) of Cherokee Village, Susan Dame of Walnut Ridge and Jimmy Dame of Sikeston, MO; his grandchildren, Jennifer Mitchell of Crested Butte, CO, Travis Hayes of Walnut Ridge, AR, Anna Taylor Rennie of Washington, D. C., Rebecca Phillips of Houston, TX, Jack Phillips of Fayetteville, AR, Tyler Dame and Cassie Dame of Sikeston, MO; and his sister Loretta (Ken Turner) of Rockford, IL.. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

The family requests social distancing and mask guidelines be followed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to a charity of choice.
