She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Morado and Hortencia Morado; her siblings, Jose, Guadalupe, Zulema and Antonio; her grandchildren, Selene Petersen, Jacob Petersen, Faith Perez, Santiago Leyva and Heaven Mathews; her great grandchildren, Alexander Gonzalez, Alliyana Gonzalez, Giuliana Perez and Marco Gonzalez; and her brothers, Tony and Arnulfo Morado.
She is survived by: her husband Phil Mathews; her children, Melissa Dowrick and Randy Mathews; and her siblings, Armando, Alvaro, Alonzo, Abel, Aurora, Alicia and Adriana.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christ's Church (1565 N 113th Ave, Avondale, AZ 85392). A burial will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392).
Amy's family hopes her story serves as a reminder of the devastating toll Alzheimer's takes not only on those who live with it but also on the families who walk beside them.
