He was predeceased by : his parents, Elvin Nelson and Eleanor Nelson (Helberg); and his brother-in-law Raymond Slack. He is survived by : his former life partner Mary Lou Pearson; his wife Karen Gallagher of Sun City, Arizona; his children, Lori (Lee Mattingly) of Henderson, Nevada and Lincoln of Denver, CO; his grandchildren, Mathew of Henderson and Mary of Highland, CA; his sister Pam Slack of Gothenburg; and his pet Clyde. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
