He was predeceased by : his parents, Marshall Brooks Cowie and Ilia Cowie; and his brothers, Gerald Cowie and Steven Cowie. He is survived by : his wife Mary Cowie; and his children, Denise Latonis and Forrest Cowie. He is also survived by several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
