He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie E. Matthews and Annie Matthews (Dowden); his sister Billie Jean Jones; his brothers-in-law, Andrew LaFleur, Sr. and Eugene Jones; and his nephew Andrew LaFleur, III.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Joan Matthews (Nadort); his sister Bonnie Ann LaFleur; his children, Daniel Matthews (Karen), Dawn Vick (Gary) and Darlynn Stephens (Craig); his grandchildren, Jason Matthews (Biz), Mark Musser (Martina), Hilary Mills, Tami Bohm (Erick) and Bryan Stephens (Glenda); and his stepdaughter Vickie Ann Bucher. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Unfortunately, due to COVID there will be no public service.
