He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Spoon and Florence Spoon of Clifton, AZ.; his wife Roberta Spoon; and his siblings, Harold "Charlie" Spoon and Iris Brooks.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Linda Brewster of Parker, AZ and Mike Brewster (Linda); and his grandchildren, Chad Tant of Mesa, AZ, Mavany Tant of Winter Park, FL and Brandi Brewster of Orange, AZ. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
