He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Necas and Frances Necas; his daughter Donna; and his sister Mary Jean. He is survived by: his former wife Judith Irene Teiken; his grandsons, John and Josh; his wife Judy; his children, Connie Appell (Karl), Jeanne Myers (Kevin), John Necas (Laura) and Josh (Jennifer); his son-in-law Bryan Olson; and his siblings, Albert and Susan Ann. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
