She was predeceased by : her parents, James Hext and Isabella Hext (Passolt); and her siblings, Gerald "Jerry" Hext and Arlene Koltz. She is survived by : her sons, Thomas (Kathy) and Robert Mackesy; her sister Nancy Kelley; and her grandchildren, Samantha, Damian, Sydney, Thomas and Amelia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arizona Humane Society or a favorite local animal charity.
