He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Schaeffer and Ruth Schaeffer (Bietz); and his sister Geneva Berge. He is survived by: his wife Verdgie Ulrich of Wilton; his brother Jerry; his sister-in-law Sylvia Schaeffer of Beaverton; his sister Donna; and his brother-in-law Vernon Schelske of Jamestown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
