He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joanne Benz; his children, Jeffrey Benz (Jiuzhou Qiao), Jennifer Beckemeyer (Robert) and Julie Benz (Richard Orosco); his grandchildren, Christopher, Austin Benz, Robert, Tatum Beckemeyer and Maggie Qiao; his siblings, Edward Benz (late Barbara), Joseph Benz (Heidi), Dr. Henry Benz (Carol), Trudy Biddle (John), William Benz (Sharon), Brenda Benz, James Benz (Sue) and Dr. Thomas Benz (Renee); and his brothers-in-law, James Seemiller (Marilyn) and John Seemiller (Barbara). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
