He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Shields Sr. and Frances Smith; his daughter Antoinette Shields; his siblings, Fred Shields Jr., Joy Shields, June Stafne and Shirley Redstone; his brother-in-law Kenny Azure Sr.; and his nephews, Kenny Azure Jr., Larry Connor, Tom Stafne and Patrick Clements.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne LaRoque; his children, Anthony Shields Sr. (Andrea) and Suzanne Boyd (Lowell); his siblings, Stoney Anketell (Julie), Chet, Chuck Eagleman, Roseann Shields, Sherry Shields and Sandy Azure; his brother-in-law Rusty Stafne; and his grandchildren, Anthony Shields Jr., Mikkel Shields, Caleb Klinger (Valencia), Urijah Shields, Alyssa Shields, Jessica Shields, Celesse Shields and Payton Klinger. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
