He is survived by: his wife Verna Badley; his son Wesley Winkler of Bismarck; his stepchildren, Sharon Fetting (Larry) of New Brighton, MN, Gary Badley (Mary Kay) of Glendive, MT and David Badley; his grandchildren, Blake, Grant and Grace Nemecek; his stepgrandchildren, Brooke Giles (Herb), Bryan Badley (Dena), Michael Fetting, Emma Edward (Oge) and Addison Badley; and his sisters-in-law, Paige Winkler and Mavis Wahlert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and several great grandchildren.
