Celia J. Rubalcaba was born on September 5, 1925 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to her mother, Margarita Martinez Mejia and her father, Juan Jacques. Celia was raised in El Paso, TX with 4 brothers; Lorenzo, Carlos, Arthur & Joe. Celia was a jitter-bugger and eventually met the love of her life, Robert Rubalcaba. They were married shortly after, and moved to Los Angeles, California.
Robert and Celia had twin boys; Robert and Raymond, a daughter Cynthia and another son, Ronald. Robert and Celia raised their family in Buena Park, California. Celia truly enjoyed being a nurse's aid in the maternity/nursery ward at Martin Luther Hospital in Anaheim, where she cared for the infants and the mothers until she retired after 25 years.
Celia enjoyed working in her garden and loved her rose bushes in particular. Celia also loved camping with her husband, watching novelas and classic movies, with her favorite movies being Cleopatra and Yankee Doodle Dandy. Celia would visit her best friend and cousin, Angie, as often as she could. Celia leaves behind four children, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her only surviving Brother Lorenzo.
