He was predeceased by: his siblings, Norma Bunce, Bud Heffernan (Walten), Chester Dale Heffernan and Floyd Heffernan; and his stepdaughter Terri Reagle.
He is survived by: his former wife Pamela Wood; his wife Mary Lou Heffernan; his sister Garnet Mihleder (Dick); his sons, Todd Heffernan (Dorte) and Chris Heffernan (Jana); his stepdaughter Susan Heffernan; his grandchildren, Elliott Reagle, Jodi Heasely (Matt), Craig Trinch (Jamie), Nicole Mawhinney (Ben), Alisha Stevens (Freddie), Lisa Shook (Donny) and Tristan Heffernan; and his great grandchildren, Raychel, Lukas, Hanna, Dakota, Emma, Elizabeth, Abigail, Sydney, Ryder, Jayden, Ayva, Lexi and Allie.
