He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife JoAnne Ogle Walter; his sister Lona Siegal of Annapolis, MD; his nephews, Jay Esterson and Andrew Esterson (Kim); his great-nieces, Joy, Nicole Esterson and Lauren Esterson Bradshaw (Benjamin); his great-nephew Eric Esterson (Shelly); his stepson Aaron (Maureen); his stepgrandchildren, Meghan, Connor and Kiera; his stepson Jonathan (Jennifer); his stepgrandchildren, Jamison, Holden and Davis; his stepson Jason (Dawn); his stepgrandchildren, Kara, Caitlin, Dylan and Aidan; his former wives, Suellen Sugarman and Linda McDonough; his parents, Emanuel Louis Rankin "Mannie" and Nellie; and also, Bradley, Allison, Alex Esterson, Kiley and Camryn Bradshaw. He was also cherished by children and grandchildren.
David requested cremation and donations may be made in David's name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with notices sent to Jason Walter, 1016 Alicante Dr. Danville, CA 94526.
