He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Volk and Maggie Volk; his daughter Dyrrell Ann (Dani); his grandchildren, Renee Knapp of New York and Paul Cappelluzzo of California; and his great grandchild Nicholas Knapp of New York. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to The American Cancer Society.
