He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Raymond and Irma Burhans (Barnes); and his siblings, Jim Burhans, Luke Burhans, Lenard Burhans and Cheryl Burhans.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn F. Burhans of Sears; his children, Rob Nixon of Ashland, Teresa Hartless of Sears, Jerry Burhans (Kelli) of Northbranch, Tonia Burhans of Lansing and Jeff Burhans (Amy) of Sears; and his sister Karen Taylor of Rodney, Michigan.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
