He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Orwell Nicholas and Lucy Fryer Vance; his wife Beckie Smith; his children, Lyle (Kerynne), Chad (Michelle), Olin (Sara), Evan (Sharon), Eric (Amanda), Celeste Goldthwaite (Jim), Laurie Squires (Curt), Athena Hatch (John), Crystal Carroll (Vance) and Autumn Mortensen (Mike); and his siblings, Leland and Myrna Johnson. He was also cherished by 51 grandchildren, and 86 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, friends may choose to donate to the Humanitarian Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
