He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Carpenter and Vera Carpenter; his siblings, John Burke and Shirley Kline; and his brother-in-law Jack Kline.
He is survived by: his wife Dee; his daughter Susan Brooks (Bill Brooks) of Astoria, OR; his grandson William Brooks, IV of Forest Grove, OR; and his siblings-in-law, Dolores Burke, Larry Helphrey and John Deal (Gisela). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and their family members.
